ReplyDeleteI can't think of a Valentine!! Is that sad? I remember getting a beautiful bouquet once but I'm not a big flower person. We don't really do anything for Valentines.

I don't have many real Valentines memories since I'm not married, but I'm really looking forward to this year getting to care for the children of the families at church so that the couples can have a special date night out together. :)

My most memoreable Valentine's day was 32 years ago. That is when I got engaged. He gave me a card first, then a single red rose, then a beautiful cross pendant. He took me by the hand and he told me he loved me. Then he asked me to marry him. The ring was beautiful and the first thing out of my mouth was "is it real" I said yes. We still laugh about to this day. We will celebrate 32 years in August.
ReplyDeleteMy most memorable Valentine's day was when we were first married and poor college students. My husband surprised me with a candlelight dinner in which he served me hotdogs, chips and pickle spears he placed in small glass ramekin cups to make them fancy. I was so touched by his effort to make it special. It remains one of my fondest inspite of more elaborate celebrations in the years since.

ReplyDeleteMy most memorable Valentine's Day was the year my dad sent my sisters and I each a rose. It was so out of character for dad, so it meant a lot!! I like all the great deals yo share on FB!
