Backpack for Friday Program is having a fundraiser.  All proceeds will go to the Backpack for Friday Program with Jackson R2 .

You can buy a ticket for $25 for a chance to win a Backyard Makeover!!! There are 300 tickets available!!

10,000 Garden Challenge - the "Grow & Give" initiative

The Missouri Department of Agriculture recently launched a new component of the 10,000 Garden Challenge - the "Grow & Give" initiative. The program represents a joint effort with Missouri's food banks to provide more fresh produce to Missourians in need. 

If you are interested in donating some items from your garden to the local food banks you can actually register your garden.   I think this is an AWESOME opportunity to help our local community with some FRESH HOMEGROWN PRODUCE!!!

Local Cape Girardeau and surrounding areas donations!

Southeast Missouri's Food Bank has a new program called Spring Showers, Personal Care Drive Event!!

They are collecting personal Hygiene Products for the Backpack for Friday program that I and many of my fellow couponers donated to March 12th!!

We donated food and hygiene products at that time!! So, cool love this program!!

I encourage to head on over to their facebook page and "like" them so you can keep up to date on their special programs and donation times!!!

I love the BackPacks for Friday program because it is for our local student who need additional food for their families!!  I have 4 kids myself and I KNOW what is it like not having the food to feed my children!!

I will be donating to this program as well. No amount of donating is too small, when we all pull together WE can make a difference!! 

Donation to The Thrive Program

For the last few weeks I have been posting about giving to a local Food Pantry.
I had a program called THE THRIVE PROGRAM, which is through our local schools, contact me.

The program sends backpacks filled with food home on Friday with kids who need it!
The kids then return the backpacks to school on Monday.
This program really touched my heart. These are kids right here in our local area!
I think it would be an HONOR to help these kids!

Here are some examples of the items we need...
Peanut Butter
Jelly in plastic containers
Fruit or Pudding cups
Instant Potatoes
Oatmeal pouches
Things that kids like!!

We can also donate Hygiene items, deodorant, soaps, body spray etc...!

I have setup a donation time with the The Thrive Program for our local couponers!!

Here are a few things I have donated!
Lots of cereal, peanutbutter, oatmeal, hot cocoa, croutons, deodorant, bodywash.
